Sports/Fitness & Active Leisure Show
To be Held in
New
Delhi on Aug. 10-13
The three-day first Sports/Fitness
& Active Leisure Show was held at the International Exhibition &
Conference Pragati Maidan in
New Delhi,
India
on Aug. 18-20, with 56
exhibitors from the world over participating, occupying 80 booths.
Taiwan
was represented by 14 exhibitors at the sporting goods event, including media
representatives. It was not said that mainland
China
was not represented at the
show.
This sporting goods show was one of the
biggest in 10 years held in
India
,
according to a media publisher who led the
Taiwan
trade mission to the
exhibition. "Altough the number of exhibitors
was not big, there were quite a lot of importers coming to the show for the
opening day," commented an exhibitor, adding that
Taiwan
exhibitors were generally satisfied with the outcome of the show.
The booths of
Taiwan
exhibitors were quite
well-decorated. Among the exhibits shown at the show were badminton and tennis
rackets, and related materials and motors. Indian importers expressed interest
in becoming agents of
Taiwan
products in the local markets, according to
Taiwan
exhibitors.
The show organizer will add one more
day to the 2008 Sports/Fitness & Active Leisure Show, from Aug. 10 to
13.
