When Cha Yau Sponge Enterprise Co., Ltd. was founded in 1971, it turned out EVA foam for supply to shoe manufacturers in Taiwan . In 1996, the company transformed itself to the production of a variety of EVA mats, which currently generates 90 percent of the company revenues.

With an unprecedented amount of investment in EVA foam production, Cha Yau factory equipped the largest production lines and is the only factory that integrates the printing process with the production. The heat-printing technology makes the EVA mats more colorful, and triggering favorable market response. The business development manager states that his company owns that the best printing facilities and possesses professionals and know how; because of this Cha Yau is able to received orders from the customer and tailor make EVA mats according to their specifications, forms and designs.

Cha Yau is now able to deliver 120 containers of EVA processed products each month. As company’s strategic plan, Mr. Lu states that the company will in the future devote more resources on making sports mats, hoping to turn out more professional and widely used mats for sporting sector.
